Frequently asked questions
How do I claim my researcher profile?
Sign in, then visit /onboard to find and claim your OpenAlex / ORCID profile. We’ll pull your publications, citations, and co-authors automatically.
How do I edit my profile?
Open your profile from the top-right menu, then use the Edit profile button on the page header. Talks, teaching, service, affiliations, degrees, and research statement each have their own inline edit affordance directly on the section.
Where do my degrees and affiliation dates come from?
Both are pulled from your verified ORCID record (employments and educations). You can refresh from ORCID or hand-edit any row from the Affiliations & Education section on your profile.
How does Formal Expert Review work on Αlpha¹?
Authors pay upfront and we guarantee at least two independent expert reviews within 21 days, or your money back. See the full service delivery policy for details on the SLA and refunds.
I need to remove or correct something on my profile.
Most fields are owner-editable from the profile page. For content that came from upstream sources (OpenAlex, ORCID, NIH RePORTER) or anything you can’t change yourself, email editorial@alpha1science.com.
How do I delete my account?
Email editorial@alpha1science.com from your sign-in address. We respond within two business days and confirm before any deletion.
